Hey friends! Today I have a very bold, absolutely pure fun outfit to share with you all! You know those outfits that you see on pinterest and think, "oh if only I had it in my closet to recreate that!" Well, this is that outfit for me. It's kind of like the epitome of fall style for my wardrobe, all wrapped into one outfit: tall boots, a plaid scarf, printed pencil, jeweled cardigan (!!!), cozy coat and berry red lips.

Classy on Sunday // A Trip to the Aranoff

Hello everyone! I can't even believe that Thanksgiving, the holiday of feasting and gratitude, is already behind us, in our minds, and spoken of in the past tense. We certainly have had a lovely one! Most of the day our family was gathered around the kitchen counters, wrapped in the aromas of great food, (all from scratch), busily working to get it on the table, then to be devoured over the next couple of days. Mmmm... Bliss. But let me take you farther back than Thanksgiving, and come with me to Cincinatti's famous Aranoff Theater, to see the story of Peter Pan danced across it's grand stage.

Hello and a good day to you, dearies! Today is going to be a lovely, calm Saturday, with a birthday party to go to, and a nice warm house to come home to. I love days like today, where you can sit back and relax. It seems like everything lately has been a hustle and bustle of business. I will be SO happy when Thanksgiving arrives this next week. Speaking of Thanksgiving and fall, here is a very autumnal outfit I wore just a few weeks ago for Church.

Do any of you ever get confused with how to spell grey? Evidently "gray" spelled with an "a" is the American adaptation, while "grey" is the... normal spelling? I don't know why, but grey has always seemed more refined and polished than gray (oh, and don't try reading this paragraph out loud... for obvious reasons ;). So now that we have the spelling of grey as grey spelled with an "e" being much more elegant than gray (geez, but I'm starting to sound like Anne of Green Gables), we can now get down to business with my very grey outfit (ok, I'll stop now :D)...

Hello my dears!
What a wonderful week of catch-up this has been for the girls and I! We have not had any singing engagements, hardly any commitments, and we even got a surprise invite to use someone's tickets to enjoy ourselves at the Latest Cincinatti Ballet performance. What fun! Truly these past few days have been gifts from the Lord in which we can catch our breath from the fast pace of volunteer work we were up to last week. I thank Him for every day I wake up and find myself home in my own room.

Classy on Sunday // Adventure is Out There!

Hello lovelies! Today we are all in a whirl preparing for a big gig we girls have tonight, and our even bigger trip this next week to National Bible Bee. If you haven't already heard, our family is volunteering for the third time in a row at NBB, and this time it's in Orlando, Florida. Which, by the way, is 18+ hours away from us and BB headquarters. So all of us volunteers are taking a 2-day trip on a charter bus down... which our whole family is rather excited for/dreading... I seriously think we live one of the most excited/peaceful/wonderful lives a family of mostly girls could. As the old saying goes, "Adventure is Out There!" :D

Classy on Sunday // Autumn at Last

Hello hello!
There are probably many differences in the way Autumn officiates itself in each State, but I think that last week marked the "full bloom" of the season here in Southern Ohio. Every Summer I anticipate this time of year with many wonderings and thoughts about what vibrant colors the leaves will show, and thankfully I have yet to be disappointed by the autumnal pallet. I was quite inspired by what I was observing out our windows last week, thus it was without much hesitation that I plucked this dress off its hanger to wear it to Sunday service.

Hello Dearies! I hope you're having a splendid Saturday/Weekend thus far! This morning my Dad and I are heading to our local library's book sale (one of the highlights of my shopping year. ;P), and later tonight the girls and I have a singing gig to go to. We've had a pleasant break from singing ever since Remembering WWII, so it will be nice to get back into the "swing" of things. Speaking of Remembering WWII, I'm sure y'all were curious about if we would ever wear our 1940's dresses again. Well, this post is to show you how we styled our 1940's dresses in a more modern way for Church last Sunday.

We are in a pretty awesome season here on the BFS blog right now, and I’ll tell you why–we have a whole sidebar full of advertisers (Please check them all out!), next week we will be heading down to Linden Tennessee for the big Remembering WWII event (we hope to meet some of you there!), and we just feel really, really good about where the Lord has placed us at this point. Happy Saturday my dears! How has your week been thus far? Mine has been an absolute roller-coaster ride. Those of you who follow me on Instagram will know that we've been dealing with a sick doggie (poor thing! Your prayers would be greatly appreciated!), and the back and forth, sorrow and hope have left our house in a whirlwind of emotions. I'm just thankful that things are starting to calm down now. Even in our sorrows God brings us joy, and comforts us in the midst of our anxiety.
