Hello hello!
There are probably many differences in the way Autumn officiates itself in each State, but I think that last week marked the "full bloom" of the season here in Southern Ohio. Every Summer I anticipate this time of year with many wonderings and thoughts about what vibrant colors the leaves will show, and thankfully I have yet to be disappointed by the autumnal pallet. I was quite inspired by what I was observing out our windows last week, thus it was without much hesitation that I plucked this dress off its hanger to wear it to Sunday service.

Hello Dearies! I hope you're having a splendid Saturday/Weekend thus far! This morning my Dad and I are heading to our local library's book sale (one of the highlights of my shopping year. ;P), and later tonight the girls and I have a singing gig to go to. We've had a pleasant break from singing ever since Remembering WWII, so it will be nice to get back into the "swing" of things. Speaking of Remembering WWII, I'm sure y'all were curious about if we would ever wear our 1940's dresses again. Well, this post is to show you how we styled our 1940's dresses in a more modern way for Church last Sunday.

Sister Flair // Saltwater Sandals

Hello again!
It is not often that I find myself posting two days in a row, but there are always the exceptions, and today is one. I must express to you all how blissful it is to have the fresh air wafting through our house from the open windows now-a-days; it seemed for a while that I would never see the warm summer days again! Thus, every day that I possibly can, I take an hour or two to just go outside and enjoy the wilds of nature, or leave a door open to hear the musical chorus of birdsong.

Last week a friend requested a photo of our family for a slideshow they were putting together. Oh yeah, family photo.... Oh wait, we don't have any... Oh! So, last Sunday we amended that fact, and I pulled out my camera + tripod, set it up in our backyard, and miraculously got some great shots while the self-timer ticked away and I scuttled back and forth from camera to posing spot (sound familiar?). Well, we were having such a good time at it, that we girls decided to do a sister flair afterward too. So you'll be seeing both sets of photos today, though mostly the ones of us girls laughing and goofing off in front of the camera... :)

We took these outfit photos a few weeks ago when Jessica and I were unintentionally coordinating. The lighting was perfect, it was warm out, so why not squeeze in a photo shoot in our afternoon?

One event that always seems to come across our path in November is square dancing. We never seem to fail going to one of these gatherings at least once a year! If you know us, you'd know that we girls are BIG contra dance fans (virginia reel, anyone?), so this time of year always gets us giddy for a square dance! Swishing skirts, peppy music, the racket of stomping boots and yodeling enthusiasts! Even those awkward moments in the middle of a promenade when you don't know what to do next; it's all a part of the game :)
