Yippee! Today is... What? Oh No! Without a doubt, today is the most awkward, the most absurd, the most unladylike post we could put on this blog of ours! That's right. It's Outtakes day, friends. All of our goofy, personal things are in here. Now obviously this is still but a glimpse into our funny bone dispositions, but at least you're not getting the opposite end of the spectrum... hem... cat fights anyone? So please enjoy at our expense, the lovely collection of shots we have for you all today.

Classy on Sunday // Grey on Gray

Do any of you ever get confused with how to spell grey? Evidently "gray" spelled with an "a" is the American adaptation, while "grey" is the... normal spelling? I don't know why, but grey has always seemed more refined and polished than gray (oh, and don't try reading this paragraph out loud... for obvious reasons ;). So now that we have the spelling of grey as grey spelled with an "e" being much more elegant than gray (geez, but I'm starting to sound like Anne of Green Gables), we can now get down to business with my very grey outfit (ok, I'll stop now :D)...

Our Favorite Comments // Vol. 1

Happy Monday everyone!
You might be wondering at the title of this post. I'll gladly explain–after receiving quite a few informative comments on my Hair Parlor post last week, I was suddenly struck by this thought, "What if we began to put up posts in honor of our followers' comments of encouragement, support, and great ideas!" I took this idea to the girls and they liked it just as much as I. Thus, here I am writing a post for you all today! Take a bow ladies! Your thoughts and kind words are the fuel that keeps us going!

Meet-Up with Alison

Hey all! You don't know how excited I am that it's Saturday tomorrow and we get to sleeepppp innnnn.......! :) I have been battling a yucky sinus infection/cold this past week, so getting up at 5:30 each morning to do geometry, plus our family dealing with a stressful time of a very sick dog at the vet's, hasn't exactly been delightful... Anyways, I have a wonderful meet-up to share with you, so let's buckle down and get to it! :)

Tips for Better Blogging // Tip #3

Probably one of my biggest pet-peeves with bloggers now-a-days is when their images do not match up to the width of the post text (unless, of course, the image is integrated into the copy of the post). Now, this is not to say that we have never done this in our early blogging days (*shudders*), but we have since mended our ways! ;) I have a feeling the main reason why this design no-no is so prominent in the blogosphere, could be because bloggers simply don't know how to make their images the same width as their text, which is why I am here to show you how :)

Hack! // Customizing the Break Link in Blogger

Due to the great responses I got in my last "Tips for Better Blogging" post, I decided to go ahead with the tutorial on customizing the break link. Now before we dive in, I want to let you all know that I am in NO WAY an expert in coding, and make mistakes and forget lots of rules and other techy things a lot of the time; so when you follow my coding tutorials, you are pretty much learning my imperfect way of implementing and manipulating code. Not so profesh, in other words :D

Tips For a Better Blog // Tip #1

Hello all! Today I am going to start a new blog series (we're big on blog series here at BFS, I guess!) entitled: "Tips for a Better Blog". Over the past months and years of blogging and adventuring in graphic design, I have picked up some useful tips and methods that I think might be beneficial to share with you bloggers out there. I know I have been requested to do a post or two like this, so here I am at last! Yay :) Now, I must disclaim that I am no expert what so ever! I am not perfect, and I am still (definitely still!) learning about the wonderful world of the web. These tips that I hope to share with you over the next few weeks are simply methods and principles that we girls have found helpful, though they may not necessarily be beneficial to you on your blogging journey. Just keep that in mind as you read these posts, and leave me feedback on what you think of this series!

One of our girls' very favorite things to do is to watch the outtakes and bloopers from youtube videos (Blimey Cow, anyone?) and movies, and go behind the scenes on what goes into those productions. So, budding out of this love for insights to the "behind the scenes", we thought, why not share with you all what goes on around here in the production of blog posts, our singing, etc.?
