Hey all, and happy Saturday! Today I am sharing an outfit that I wore last Sunday to Church & a Bridal Shower afterwards. There is something so, oh I don't know, refined? About showers. The simple treats, the lovely decor, the fabulous company, the opening of gifts... Showers are probably just about my favorite type of gathering (other than dances... those are the best :)

Shirt: Borrowed from Jess // Skirt: Made by Mom // Sandals: Payless // Necklace: Vintage (gift)
I wanted to wear something a little more laid back that could easily transition from Church to Bridal Shower, so I donned a very comfortable knit top (thanks, Jess!) and easy pencil skirt that stood in as a nice statement piece. To channel the comfortable style I was aiming after, I slipped on my favorite summertime flip-flops, and kept the jewelry simple with a sweet 1950's choker.

The Bridal Shower was very fun, even though we got horribly lost on our way there... that wasn't so great ;) BUT! We found our way and had a lovely time once we got there, and that's what counts, right?
Today we girls are going to be relaxing before a couple of singing events tonight. We will be performing at a local Strawberry Festival, and then later tonight with a band to celebrate their second CD release. Wish us luck!
Do you like Bridal/Baby Showers?

Love this outfit! I never would have thought to put those two colors together but they really work! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Mint green is one of my favorite colors!
ReplyDeleteI suppose I don't mind showers, but I've only attended a handful.
I just love you and your sisters outfits, thanks for sharing!

Lovely outfit! The skirt is such a pretty print.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to a bridal shower but they sound great. I have, however, been to dances and I completely agree that they are amazing! :)

I truly love this outfit! I would never have thought of putting those two colors together--a deep mint green and a kind of mustard yellow--but they look FABULOUS together. The skirt's pattern is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the choker. I have found that it's really hard for me to find jewelry that I like--but I love this necklace! Of course it would be vintage. :)
SUCH a darling outfit -- simple, clean, modern (with a hint of vintage) -- love it, dear! xx
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love how it combines modern and vintage.
ReplyDeleteHow splendidly sweet! I really like the warm, subtly citrus-y colour palette at work here. That delicate floral necklace is incredibly pretty. It suits you so, so very well, dear gal.
