Sister Flair // Two Thirds of the Three

Sister Flair // Two Thirds of the Three
Hello dearies! I hope you're having a splendid day! We girls are going to be singing at our local courthouse for the National day of Prayer, which is pretty exciting! We took these outfit photos a few weeks ago when Jessica and I were unintentionally coordinating. The lighting was perfect, it was warm out, so why not squeeze in a photo shoot in our afternoon?

The skirt that I am wearing was one of my least favorite items in my wardrobe. I say was, because I finally got rid of it, since I hardly wore it in the past two years and it's slightly too short for me for everyday wear. I love how the coral of Jessica's skirt and my top contrast so greatly with the gold and green of the scenery. Perfect mid-spring outfits if I do say so myself!

What Jessica's wearing:
Chambray Blouse: Thrifted
Sweater: Thrifted
Skirt: Kohl's
Earrings: F21
Flip-Flops: Old Navy
Hairbow: Poshmi

What Brigid's wearing:
Cardigan: Hand-me-up from Charlotte
T-shirt: Hand-me-down from Jessica
Skirt: Homemade (no longer in my wardrobe)
Clogs: Hanna Andersen
Earrings: Gift

I love how old this photo looks, and Charlotte did NOT edit it to look that way! Cool, huh?
Taking the photos in the field reminded me of the Yorkshire Dales in the Series All Creatures Great and Small. Picture it for yourself: The long grass blowing on the hills, nothing above you but blue sky and clouds, and below, you can just see a tiny village where people are going about their daily lives. Perhaps it's market day, and the farmers are bringing in their stock of goods, and as they pass by you on the road to town they wish you a "good morning".
*Sigh* I want to go to the countryside of  England some day, though I'm not so sure if it will be anything like what I imagine. :)

  6. I was SO impressed by the beauty of these photographs!!! The outdoor light was so beautiful on the day you girls took these. LOVELY work, Charlotte!! And of course, Jessica and Brigid are both so beautiful! These photos capture the essence of a spring day.

I haven't seen the series All Creatures Great and Small, but I've read several of the books by James Herriot, the first of which is All Creatures Great and Small. They are excellent!

I didn't know that the National Day of Prayer was coming up--but I know that my family and I will be praying for our nation in a special way on that day.

And like Brigid, the countryside of England is a place I would like to visit one day. I have seen photos that are so stunning--maybe not in a glorious way, like Italy, but in a homey, domestic, farmey way that deeply affects the heart.

    1. Kuddos to Charlotte! Thank you my dear for the complement!

Funny! You have read the books, but we have not! Perhaps a trade is in order... Our Mom enjoyed reading the books before we found the series, and when we began watching them, Mom would exclaim at almost everyone, saying that she recognized the story, or else, that there was a funny part coming up.

Always glad to hear from you!

cute, casual outfits! You are three talented, wonderful , lucky sisters! I enjoy reading all your
fashion posts, and it's so nice to see the relationship that you siblings have. (always wished
    that I had a sister)
With all your beautiful outfits and I have seen you have quite an abundance, where do you
store it all? not to mention there are three of you. I would of taken up every closet in my
    house! haha

    1. Hi Irene,
Well, we each have our own closets, and we mix and match an awful lot, so we are able to come up with a lot of different outfits with a limited amount of garments.

      Thanks for commenting!
