How We Play // Dollhouses

How We Play // Dollhouses
Hello my dears!
Guess what? This post marks the last in my series of How We Play! You all must know that I have not even begun to exhaust the the amount of cataloguing I could still do with this series. But since a great majority of you have been pleading for more hairstyle tutorials, and since Tuesdays are my regular posting days, I feel I must bring an end to How We Play. Perhaps one day I will rummage through old drawers and find some toys to share with you all again, but for now, it is time to move on. Tally ho and tootle pip!

How We Play // Dollhouse Dolls (Pt. 2)

How We Play // Dollhouse Dolls (Pt. 2)
Well hello there!
I never realized what a pleasure it is to be able to sit down and write up a post, until just this morning. Not that I don't already like it, but after all of the craziness with singing, I can appreciate it much more now than I ever have because it is a way for me to share and express what living a good life is, and has been like. There are so many little details that consume my days each week now, so to have a time to quietly reminisce over the past is quite wonderful, and almost luxurious. Funny how things can look from a different angle. Speaking of which, Charlotte learned the very same thing a few years ago in Toy Land whenever she discovered a new love for making her own dolls. Lets see what she made.

Hello everyone!
Are you all ready to meet our sweet little playmates of the past? I know I'm ready to present them at last! So without much of an intro, lets begin their little history!

How We Play // Fairy Houses

How We Play // Fairy Houses
Hello my dears!
Now that we have had a little break from this series (I am so glad you all liked the How We Eat video!) we can come back to the world of creativity and imagination, by studying how we three used to play. In the last How We Play post I gave you all a little hint about the fact that we were tired of not finding the right kind of toys at the store, and how much we wanted to invent our very own. Well, this post marks the beginning history of the many years we devoted our time in the pursuit of creativity and satisfaction. We set out first on this journey building... fairy houses!

How We Play // Groovy Girls

How We Play // Groovy Girls
Hem hem. Hello everyone!
Groovy Girls? Is that what I am writing about today? Now before you unfollow this blog and never come back because you just can't believe that we used to play with such...um...questionable dolls like the Groovy Girls (that might be a little far fetched...), let me put your fears to rest and do a little explaining.

How We Play // Bitty Bear & Friends

How We Play // Bitty Bear & Friends
Hello my dears!
This day is positively full of polar opposites for some reason or other! Last week, right in the middle of our crazy schedule, we three were asked to attend and sing at a Celebration of Life (Funeral) that took place this morning, for a wonderful lady who lived to be a little over 101 years old (!). Now, I am writing about the very first sparkling delights of our own lives. And to pinnacle everything else, even the weather has toned the atmosphere with rain showers and opposing bursts of sunshine. Can our world become any more topsy-turvy in one day? It is odd that the Lord should fashion such different events to coincide together, but there is a reason He ordains such queer things: reflection. Reflection is a great tool. We use it to look over the hills and valleys in our life. It helps us to understand why things have happened, and arms us for the adventures ahead. Now, I hope that many a young heart does not have to see the passing of a loved one as we did today, but nevertheless, we must find the good things in these melancholy milestones. Those who have passed from death into life have been made whole by the grace and love of God, and one day, we too will be looking forward to that glorious end. Well, now that I have given you all my sermon, lets look at the sparkles of young life again, shall we?

How We Play // American Girl Dolls

How We Play // American Girl Dolls
Hello there!
I am very excited to share with all of you our very precious little friends, Samantha Parkington, Molly McIntire, and Kirsten Larson. We have played with these beautiful companions ever since I was four, and up until I turned thirteen. Our dolls have been on more adventures than most dolls ever will, I think (moving across the country being one); and through the years of growing up, they have never ceased to keep their charm and romance that first caught our bright, little eyes. I have to be honest, I am really looking forward to seeing which of you have cherished the same dolls we have, as well as those of you who claim the friendship of the other American Girl dolls! But before that, let's take a peep into the past and reminisce over our fond memories.

How We Play // Angelina Ballerina

How We Play // Angelina Ballerina
Hello hello!
I am terribly excited to share with you all this new series of How We Play, only because it hits a tender heart string, and only because a little part of the curtain covering our untold lives will be opened a bit wider. My hope is that you find fairy dust and flitting sparkles of our imagination through the duel of forts of Charlotte's lens and my words in this series. So then, do you want to play with Angelina the Ballerina mouse and her best friend Alice? Alrighty! Lets go!
