Well folks, it's official: Spring is here! At last the long, long months of snow, cold and more cold are over! Well, so we think, at least. Here in Ohio you can never tell if you're in for a blizzard or tornado, so we'll see what happens ;) Even if the nippy winds and grey atmosphere stick around for the next few weeks, I am at least thankful for the hope of new life and... Green! Beautiful, lush, vibrant green!... And pink, and red, and blue, and... Oh! Just color in general! :D It's so delightful seeing the tips of little shoots and leaves plucking up from under the dead turf. Such an incredible story of contrast God has given us in the transition of the seasons!

I am so thrilled for what is in store for this Spring & Summer: singing events, graduation (Brigid, not me ;), experimenting more with my new lens, taking Brigid's senior photos (yay!), ending school (double yay!), making new garments for my S/S wardrobe... So many things!
What are you excited for this Spring/Summer?

Great Pictures Charlotte:) I look forward to seeing the photos you will take of a Brigid:)
ReplyDeleteSo lovely - it really shows the small but significant ways in which Spring arrives.
ReplyDeleteI got somehow reminded of a book by Karel Čapek, The Gardener's Year - it's a slim book and highly recommended, a lighthearted yet thoughtful record of the way a person who grows flowers in his garden goes through a year... :-) I think it's because he obviously pays attention to the Spring changes as well.
Gorgeous! I'm rather jealous of your sprouting daffodils, I checked the yard yesterday and not a one of mine has emerged.
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty! What is Brigid doing in the last two pictures?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the senior pictures!
Hi Hannah,
DeleteBrigid is shining her shoes in the last two pictures :)

These images are breathtaking!!! Our Heavenly Father's creation is so wonderful and you did a great job of capturing the new life that is bursting forth from the ground and trees! And that depth of field is delicious! ;)
