Sears & Roebucks Catalog Clippings (#6)

   Hello again!
Well! It's about time I'd say we get back into the voluminous documents of Sears and Roebucks, wouldn't you? This week I dug up some late 50's breezy summer styles for you all! I don't know about you, but here in the bit of Ohio that we live in, the weather is close and hot, so tank tops, breezy knee-length skirts and light day dresses are the ideal these days!
You can NEVER go wrong with breezy shirt-waist dresses or polka-dot wrap skirts! Simply darling, if you ask me (though I would be smoking hot in those knee socks and long sleeves! Oh deary me lol)

Ah, day dresses, how I adore you! I can't help but favor the gay gingham frock and the divine lilac floral! Dahling! Simply dahling!
Aren't these blouses simply divine (except for that electric yellow one... just a wee bit too barbie-ish for my taste ;)? I'm especially taken by that delightful butter-yellow one at the upper left corner! Ooo! That blue one at the bottom looks just fabulously-breezy too!
Dirndle skirts and summer go together like two peas in a pod! The swishy fabric brushing your legs, pretty prints sparkling up your outfit! Oh yes please!

Which are your favorites?
What are your staple (retro/vintage-esque) pieces of summer clothing?

TTFN,
Charlotte

And I like that floral blouse with the square neckline and the bow... so unique!

  2. My favorite is the red dress with the white trim. I also really love the floral blouse in the top middle.
