S/S Inspiration

S/S Inspiration
Hello all! Today I'm going to share what has been inspiring me in the realm of fashion & beauty this Spring and gearing me up for the Summer sun! You know how sometimes when you look back at your fashion inspiration boards on pinterest from last year and see how out-of-date all those images are with your present taste? Well, I must say that that is not the case for me this year :) I was so thrilled to browse my Wardrobe S/S board from last summer and see all the images reflecting my taste now in the same way they did when I constructed that board. The only difference for this year is that I get to experiment and find my style in the realm of makeup! But I'll elaborate more on that later... ;)

1//  I'm a sucker for ethnic, mexican styles and embroideries once the warm weather rolls around. A dress like the one featured above is at the top of my Summer wish list. I just need to chuck out the money one of these days...
2// I adore sandals like these! The elegant weave and timeless, vintage-goes-boho vibe that they portray is so perfect for a summer-lovin', vintage adoring gal like me!

Alright, now I'll elaborate on what I meant in saying that I get to "experiment and find my style in the realm of makeup" this year. For my birthday I have the privilege to begin wearing makeup full-time (other than singing performances and blog photo shoots) and experiment further in that realm. I really can't say what it was that got me so excited about this, but some beauty-bug bit me this past Winter and I started watching makeup tutorials (Lisa Eldridge is a favorite) and swooning over every beauty product or inspiration that came my way. I think I may just be a little annoying to my sisters at this point with my new-found passion interest, but what can I say? June couldn't come any sooner :)

1// How adorable is Tarte's lipstick packaging?! I really want to try out this brand sometime soon. Anyone else tried it before? Was it worth the cash?
2// Fresh, clean, and edifying are the keywords as far as makeup goes for me. I adore peachy hues and subtle, nude tones; though I also love the low-key eyes + bold-lips look too. I just need to get up the courage to put that brightly colored lipstick in my cart. ;)

1 + 2// Like ethnic embroideries, I am also a swooner for light and airy cotton frocks for the Summer months. The two featured above have my brain wracked with inspiration and adoration. They are the perfect combination of vintage + easy modern. Perfection!

1// I love dirndl skirts, especially for the warm months of the year. The 1940's and 50's have no end of inspiration for this type of clothing. From border prints to novelty patterns, I simply can't get enough of this classic piece!
2// I have to tip my hat to Anthro for coming up with such a stunning piece as this Sundial Skirt. If someone would like to buy this for me, I would be "eternally grateful" ;)

What are you inspired by for your Spring and Summer Wardrobe?

TTFN,
-Charlotte

I love Tarte's lip-glosses: they're long-wearing and have great pigment. I've also used Tarte's blushes and cheek-stains and both are highly pigmented, last all day, and give a beautiful and luminous glow to the cheeks. Tarte's eyeshadows are also lovely: soft, buttery, and long-wearing.

Have fun with experimenting with makeup! It's a great way to accentuate one's features. ^.^
