It always seems that the more we do things, the better we get at them and the better they become. I guess that's pretty simple logic, but I can't help feeling excited to see how our next one turns out, and see how we can improve. Well, one improvement on this last big dance was the photography. We asked our fabulous photographer friend, Joanna of Joanna Christine Photography, to take prep, portrait, and event pictures during the occasion. Boy oh boy did she do an amazing job! So much so that we simply can't keep these lovely treasures to ourselves... So, guess what? YOU get to see the pretty pictures here on the blog! However, since so many gorgeous photos were taken, we've decided to share them with you in parts, so be sure to stay tuned for more as the week(s) progress!

TTFN,

(I've decided on a change of pace here and ditch my nickname ;) Now I'm just plain ol' Charlotte)
PS- Don't forget to enter our GiveAway! Only a few days left!

Wow! Do you have photos of the dancing? I love those candid pix....so charming!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a blast! Happy Birthday!
Is that the dress that you made?
Yes it's the dress I made. :) I'll hopefully be doing a post on it sometime in July...

You ladies are so classy and beautiful in your vintage garments! Your flowers arrangements are simply stunning.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Both Charlotte and I (Jessica) worked together on the flowers. We got up early on the morning before the party to pick the flowers; both from our garden, and from the grass fields in our neighborhood. I have been told by an expert that if you cut flowers, or anything green, early in the morning, or late at night, those flowers are sure to last longer because the sap inside them is at it's fullest. Thus you can guarantee a longer lasting bouquet!

Wow! So many pretty photos! Too many to tell you which ones I like best. :) It looks like y'all had a lot of fun. I love the flower wreath in Brigid's hair; it's so pretty! :) Jessica, did you do your hair yourself or did you have a helper? I couldn't help admiring it while I was scrolling through the photos. I wish I were as creative with styles for my hair; it's quite difficult for me to find and figure out how to do hair styles and make them look nice like y'all do. :) I like your dress designs and fabric Charlotte and Jessica. You ladies seem to have such wonderful times together; It'd be neat if I had sister (or more). :) Blessings, Lauren :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!

Hey, thanks for the complement on my hair! Nope. I am the only one who styles my hair. No toucheee! ;p
DeleteYou know, the girls have been nagging me on getting a hair tutorial up on this blog of ours! Its about time! And for your pleasure, I have decided that I am going to show you all how to style your hair like I did mine for Brigi's Party! Sound good? :) Don't worry Lauren, its really not that difficult to do, it just takes a few practice tries!
Sincerely,
Jessica

Gorgeous! Love all of them! And I love the ring. :) When I was searching for a purity ring I tried to find one similar but all of them were too large! :( I have tiny fingers! Haha!

Our Dad presents each of us with our Purity (or promise) ring at a certain birthday. Jessica's was a complete surprise, so her ring wasn't "sized" so they had to take it back to size it. Your not the only one with tiny fingers! :)

Hey gals! Did you all make your dresses or buy them or have someone else make them? I feel silly asking, but I could not find any info about that in either of the party posts. You are look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
Rebecca
Sorry about that! We corrected the posts with the info you asked for. :)
DeleteI made my dress, and petticoat, Jessica's dress, and Charlotte made hers. Don't feel silly asking any questions! If we neglected something in a post that you would like to know, just say so!
