Tuesday and Wednesday of our trip east was planned for the visit of Colonial Williamsburg Virginia. Here's an interesting fact, Rockafeller gave 65 some odd million way back in '29 to refurbish this historic town. Many of the buildings were run down with ivy taking over, some never rebuilt after various fires that occurred during history. It was the second capital, first Jamestown, then Williamsburg, after it moved to Richmond, Virginia.
Here's the Governors Palace, the girls in front of Mary Dickenson's shop, typical transportation of the time, as well as the Capital building
Brigi studied the map for weeks picking out the shops we HAD to go to.
Another sunny day too!
This was my 2nd favorite place back east! :)
