Glass Globe Ornament Tutorial

Glass Globe Ornament Tutorial

Hello dearies! Today I have a fun and extremely easy Christmas ornament tutorial for you all! I came up with this just the other day when we were decorating our Christmas tree. I saw these empty glass ornaments, some beaded garlands, and Ta-dah! An ornament was born. Take a look at the tutorial below if you want to make one, or a few, of these for your own Christmas tree, or just to decorate your house with, no matter the season.

What you will need:
1// One clear globe glass ornament (the top needs to be able to come off).
2// One wire hook to use to hang on your tree (optional. You could use ribbon instead)
3// Beaded garland small enough to fit through your ornament opening. (we got these ones for practically nothing at a bag sale)

Take the "lid" off of your ornament globe. Start feeding the garland into the ornament. Fill up the ornament only about half way, otherwise it will be too heavy to hang on the tree!

Once you've filled the ornament to the desired fullness, put the "lid" back on, along with the ornament hook (or ribbon if you're using it), and shake, rattle, and roll that thing until the garland is all nicely arranged inside the ornament.

And Voila! You're done! Wasn't that SUPER easy? You can put all sorts of different types of garlands and decorations into these lovely ornaments. I made, apart from the gold one, a pearl and a silver version. Couldn't you picture using large flaky glitter instead? Or maybe a cloud of ribbons! The possibilities are endless!

What would you put inside one of these ornaments?
Which one is your favorite? Pearl, Gold, or Silver?
Have you ever made ornaments for your Christmas tree?

Blessings,

Your animated pictures keep taking me off-guard when I see them, it's so cute! Sometimes they don't work for me on Bloglovin. Imagine my surprise when I scroll through on a desktop...

These are such adorable ornaments. Actually, I've been wondering what to do with my Mardi Gras beads that my French teacher gave to me as a gift -- I think you've provided the answer!

  4. I love the way this looks… I just got a dozen of the plastic bulb things, but I had no idea how to fill it with beads other than one by one! Thanks, Brigid!
