The Flower Parlor // Spring Flower Mobile

Spring Flower Mobile
Ta dah!
This has been a long expected post (for me at least), thus I am super excited to share with all of you the latest creation from my paper-flower studio! Take a peek!

Ok. A little background story on where I got the inspiration for this Mobile: since moving to the Ohio valley, I have substituted my love of mountains for clouds. By golly! We do see quite the variety of great puffy giants march across our skies! They are so immense and grand, that they make you feel, well... like nothing. I love to study each one during their short span of existence. It is an odd thing, but yet it is very much a part of the observer in me.

So, when I finished my Princess Flowers project, I decided to tackle the challenge of creating something that was very near and dear to my heart besides flowers. What else goes with flowers besides bright colors, fun shapes, the sun, the earth, and little girls? Clouds! Better yet, rain clouds. In an instant, I saw visions of this sweet childlike-like mobile dance across my mind; great fluffy clouds pouring out their burdens of April showers, while from beneath dangled silly red Tulips, drinking their fill of watery sweetness. It was perfect.

I strung up my little creation above my place of repose. Now, when I turn my nightstand lamp on at night when I go to bed, I get to look up at the beautiful mobile, and dream of the coming Spring. I hope to complete a Summer Sun version of this mobile, but until then, I hope your minds were filled with inspiration and joy.

Do you like Mobiles?
What do you like about the Spring Flowers Mobile?
If you could put a price on it, what would it be?
Would you like me to put up a post on how to make your own?

Love always,

  4. What I love most about this is the fact that it was your own idea--that it was something which you saw in your imagination first, and then decided to create. Lovely!!
