L.W.B- Tie Front Blouses

Hello dear readers!
Today I have a rather interesting post for you; consisting of a sort of translation of a fad of today which I find rather appealing and interesting: that is the fashion of the tie front blouse.
So where did this vogue evolve from?
Well, that answer has been quite prominent in mine and my sister Brigid's minds: why, it originated from the 1940s! She had made herself a 1940s tie front blouse from a vintage pattern made in that time period, so it seemed rather adequate to assert thusly.

From the 1940s to Modern Day
Yes indeed, this fad seemed to be rather big in the 30s and 40s, then weaving its way through the following eras, made a big boom once again this past year.

I really adore this fad; so classy, feminine and vintage. It is rather nice as well for those of us who like to dress in the trends of the past; as we find this type of blouse pretty readily available to us in stores such as ModCloth, Shabby Apple, Lands' End, Boden, etc., etc.....

Just a few of my favorites :)

What do you think of this fad?
Yay, or Nay?

TTFN,

    1. I'm thinking about it... I'm considering re-making one of my regular blouses into a tie-front.
They are pretty adorable, aren't they? :)

  2. I like it... although I don't own any. I think light weight scarves do the trick though in achieving a similar look.
